What is the current job in demand in Portugal these days? My brother's an engineer and would also love to move here but he's wondering if there would be a job for him in here.

It would depend on qualifications and his ability to speak Portuguese.
The Portuguese economy is as depressed as most others! |

Have you checked any job databases or job boards? This is probably one of the best ways to look for a job now. You have to get creative because the job market is very competitive. Try to use the internet to your advantage.

Maybe you can look for a company that has several international offices and see if there are any vacancies in an office in Portugal. What website do most Portuguese look for work? If you find it, go there and check out your options. You could always post your resume and let potential employers come to you.

Everyone can post their resume to different sites. As a matter of fact, it is much easier to apply online than waiting for an available job using the newspaper. By that, you can always contact your soon to be employers.
